Local restaurants offer samples of Lowcountry dishes featuring shrimp. Prizes are awarded for "best recipe" and "most creative recipe" honors. Highlights of the event include: Friday evening concert in the park featuring live entertainment and yummy shrimp with lighted shrimp boats providing the backdrop for the event. Saturday's festivities begin with a 5k Run over Woods Memorial Bridge, and a 5k "Walk through History" in the historic Old Point neighborhood in Beaufort.
